2024 Washington Hop Mob

This year’s Hop Mob kickoff event is on Saturday, February 10th. On that day, Reuben’s Brews will host the Hop Mob Kickoff event at its Taproom in Ballard. At that event, they’ll tap a selection of Hop Mob beers (guest taps) alongside Reuben’s own Hop Mob creations. Details about this event and other Hop Mob events are forthcoming.

All Washington breweries are invited to participate in Washington Hop Mob by brewing what we refer to as a Hop Mob beer and releasing it around that time — February 10th.

As other venues sign up to host Hop Mob events, we will add to this website and promote them across social media channels. Keep an eye on the Events page. Also, as more breweries decide to brew beers for Hop Mob, we will share that information, too.

Exactly what is a Washington Hop Mob beer? It’s a beer brewed by a Washington brewery that offers outstanding hop characters, a complete expression of hop character, at least 50 IBU, and brewed specifically for this occasion. All styles of beer are welcome as long as they meet those criteria.

Hop Mob Quick ‘n Dirty

• The term Hop Mob refers to a robust collection of Washington-brewed beers that express outstanding hop character. These super-hoppy beers feature the floral, aromatic qualities that hops provide but also significant bitterness — at least 50 IBU. Washington breweries create Hop Mob beers and release them at the same time (early February).
• We invite bars and brewery taprooms to host events across Western Washington spread out over the course of 10 days.
• The term Washington refers to the fact that all of the Hop Mob beers are brewed by Washington breweries.

In previous years, the Kickoff was followed by a series of events in the Seattle area and around the state that featured the Hop Mob beers.  Keep an eye on the Events page.
